Southwold is a lovely town although property prices ain't cheap.
I rent a house in walberswick every summer a cracking little village a few famous heads own places there.i'm on first names terms with Richard Curtis,he's a nice enough bloke.
I'm seriously thinking of selling up and fucking off .
A cottage in Suffolk and a house in Spain mortgage free is the plan.
I love London it's the best city in the world and some,but had enough of the daily grind of it all.

Born and lived here all my life,seen the irons in China,America,Canada and loads of European places so transport is okish. Suffolk mostly is a Carsy and dismiss that,you won't regret it 👍🏻

I live just outside Norwich.

Norwich is a nice place and only 1 hour 50 mins to Stratford when the trains are running to schedule. Nice and central and there are some excellent places to visit within easy reach.

Loddon still nice, stayed in-laws quite a few times over the last 3 years. Unfortunately they are selling up in the new year.

Thumbs up for Beccles, Southwold and Alderburgh - travel links not great though.

Woodbridge is where Roy Keane lived while Ipswich manager - big house overlooking the estuary.

Grew up in a village called Loddon back in the 70's. Seem to remember it as a nice quiet picturesque place but may have changed beyond all recognition these days!!

Woodbridge is very pleasant and not as far out from London as Norfolk.

I know long melford well and am rather fond of it.

I swam genitally naked in a trough of silage there during the Inter Village Idiocy Idioticman triathlon in 2007.

Other events that day included Punching Trout Senseless and Gorging on Offal and moss. I excelled myself in all three but came badly unstuck in the Running over Scarecrows in tratters joust. Not been back since but my yellowing portrait still hangs in the eaves of the quaint village watering hole theThe Chopsy Mouth - because i won the Inarticulate Rant at strangers event

Long Melford is a lovely village.
Inbetween Sudbury and Bury St Edmunds.

Visitors to the village public house are encouraged to communicate their refrrshments order at the ancient bar counter in a very local unique dialogue which consists of barking and whelping like an agitated dog in the throes of heat.

Anyone entering the establishment wearing headgear is immediately slapped about the chops and assaulted with a cudgel to the anus while the local womens instute perform a ritualistic breast slapping dance like crazed old jam making whyches.

Pork pies can be ordered six and half to the dozen for tuppence and flung out the winders like pork boules in the night to befell passing knocker uppers on their way to their dawn calling: they call this tradition ' luzzing the mowbray at some cunt'

Going to the Bluebell Inn next weekend for lunch in Hempstead, just a couple of miles away.

Dick Turpin and family lived there. Its just about in Essex but right on the Suffolk border.
